Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Duffy joined United Country as part of a successful effort in February 2006 to secure growth capital to support the rapid growth of the United Country system. He serves as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. In his role as CEO, Mr. Duffy is principally responsible for the establishment and execution of a long-term strategy for United Country designed to deliver competitive advantage to United Country franchisee partners as they operate in their local markets and serve their clients. Prior to joining United Country, Mr. Duffy spent nearly 20 years focused on serving clients in a number of senior executive positions. Most recently Mr. Duffy served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft’s “2005 Global Partner of the Year” and largest North American Microsoft Business Solutions partner with over 20 offices serving 12,000 clients across the United States and the U.K.

Prior to his tenure in the technology services market space, Mr. Duffy served as the Chief Development and Financial Officer of an on-line business-to-business exchange serving the auction and brokerage market for industrial equipment and was a founding member of the Chicago practice of The Center for Strategic Transactions, a division of Ernst & Young L.L.P., providing strategic and corporate finance advisory services to Fortune 100 companies as well as high growth technology, product and services organizations across multiple industries.

Mike Jones, CAI, GPPA, BAS, an auctioneer since 1978, serves as President of United Country Auction Services where his primary role is to oversee operations and support the nation’s largest integrated system of real estate auctioneers. His goals include providing United Country auctioneers with cutting edge and industry changing processes to enhance their individual company’s performance and to offer a wide range of marketing & technology services as well as project assistance. Mr. Jones is a licensed real estate broker and received his agents license in 1983. Early in his career, he worked in broadcasting as a news writer, producer, on air personality and filed reports for the Texas State Network (TSN). For 27 years he owned and operated his own international auction services and appraisal company based in Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Jones is the first and only member of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) to obtain the “Triple Crown of Auctioneering”, serving as the 56th President of the NAA, winning the International Auctioneer Championship (IAC) in 1998 and was elected to the NAA Hall of Fame in 2012. He has attained the same status in his home state of Texas as a life member of the Texas Auctioneers Association (TAA). Mr. Jones is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PSI, a national professional testing company for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). He has served as Chairman and Presiding Officer of the TDLR Auctioneers Education Advisory Board.

Jones founded the Texas Auction Academy in 1992, one of the nation’s largest auctioneer training programs. The school has trained over 2000 auctioneers and is United Country Real Estates preferred partner for auction education. He has conducted educational seminars in over 30 states and the 2003 Keynote Speaker at the South African Institute of Auctioneers national convention. Jones has conducted over 3,000 auctions globally for clients including Fortune 100 companies, international banks and the United States government. He currently serves as a Trustee on the National Auctioneers Foundation (NAF) Board of Directors.



Vice President
United Country Auction Services

Shawn Terrel brings a very extensive live and internet auction background to our executive management team.  He has more than 20 years of professional auction and bid calling experience across the United States.  Mr. Terrel has set on the Board of Directors of the National Auctioneers Association and is a Past Chairman and President of the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association.  In 2007 he was named the Oklahoma State Champion Auctioneer and in 2010 he was named the Kansas State Champion Auctioneer.

Mr. Terrel is a graduate of the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) at Indiana University and holds the Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate (AARE) designation.  He is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School and the Texas Auction Academy, where he is a certified instructor.

During his career, he has become recognized as an industry authority on conducting online auctions and live internet auction simulcasts.  With well over 2,000 auctions under his belt, Mr. Terrel has facilitated many of these events incorporating online internet auction solutions.  Shawn Terrel’s areas of expertise include: agricultural, residential and commercial real estate; oil and gas property; heavy equipment and industrial assets.  Event highlights include conducting multiple high profile properties and auction events resulting in excess of $50 million dollars sales price.

Mr. Terrel is also co-owner of a nationwide oil & gas marketing company headquartered in Alva, Oklahoma.  MineralMarketing.Com provides marketing, consulting and sales solutions for American oil & gas assets and is active in over fourteen states across the U.S.  The company has expanded almost every major oil & gas play in the country and successfully sells and leases oil and gas mineral rights for individual, corporate and institutional clients.  Over the recent years, the company has negotiated hundreds of thousands of acres for their clients.  MineralMarketing.Com is a strategic partner of United Country Real Estate and Mr. Terrel is the International Director of Oil & Gas Services for United Country.



President, United Country Real Estate

Mike Duffy is focused on bringing new, added value services, sales and marketing programs to United Country franchisees. With a 20 year background in marketing and sales, helping to build such national brands as Coca-Cola, Winston Cup NASCAR, RJ Reynolds, Minute Maid, Community Coffee, and numerous other well known brands, Mike is bringing this experience to build recognition and understanding of the United Country Real Estate brand with real estate buyers and sellers.

Most recently, Mike served as Vice President of Community Coffee and prior to that as a Vice President of Marketing for Coca-Cola.  In addition to branding initiatives, Mike has expertise in sales, building strategic partnerships and launching new programs.

Building on a track record of innovative marketing and sales techniques, Mike has extensive experience positioning numerous brands with unique services and tools to drive differentiation and competitive advantage.  Ultimately, helping United Country franchisees gain more listings, find more buyers and earn higher commissions is the objective of Mike’s efforts.

Mike received his MBA in Marketing and Finance from Indiana University, his undergraduate degree in Marketing from LSU and has attended numerous management and marketing post graduate programs.  Mike has taught Brand Positioning, Brand Marketing and Advertising classes as a visiting speaker at LSU.



Chief Operating Officer, United Country Real Estate

Most recently, Dickey was Sr. Vice President Professional Services for ePartners. ePartners, the Microsoft 2005 Partner of the Year, specialized in delivering, integrating and customizing solutions tailored specifically for each client’s business needs. The group has a concentration in Microsoft .Net programming, Portal development services, systems integration, and a focus on ePartners’ core ERP and CRM product offerings.

Prior to joining ePartners, Dickey was Director of Worldwide Professional Services at Pervasive Software where he led the services group in both North America and Europe. The group focused on solving complex database problems and had a specific practice in replication and disaster recovery solutions.

Dickey has spent a number of years in the enterprise software space where he developed mission critical software for a wide range of businesses working with clients such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Office Depot, & Burlington Northern.

Dickey received his BBA in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University, continuing education from Kellogg School of Management, and is a graduate of the Stagen Leadership Institute.
