Corky Heard, CES, is the owner of Heard Auction & Real Estate, LLC. Corky is the broker and auctioneer for the firm. He has been in the Real Estate business for over 28 years and in the auction industry for over 20 years; during this time he has conducted numerous real estate and personal property auctions. Corky is a member or the National Auctioneers Association, Oklahoma Auctioneers Association, Oklahoma Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. He is a Past President of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce, Clinton Kiwanis Club, and the United Fund. He is a long time member, and current chairman of the Clinton planning and zoning commission, and a board member for the State of Oklahoma Abstract Board. Corky is also a member of the First Christian Church, where he has served as a Sunday School teacher, Youth Sponsor, and is currently an elder.
Corky graduated from the Missouri Auction School in 2003. He graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1987 with a B.A. in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing. While attending college, he received his Oklahoma Real Estate license, and has been actively involved in the business ever since. In 1986, he received his Oklahoma Real Estate Broker’s License. He has developed several residential areas, built a multitude of homes, and disposed of numerous residential, commercial properties and farms during the S&L Crisis.
Most recently, Corky was designated as a Certified Estate Specialist, (CES). This is a professional designation awarded by the NAA Education Institute to help professional auctioneers understand how to properly conduct and deal with the settling of estates. The course also educates professional auctioneers on working with family members and dealing with lawyers and accountants. Simultaneously, while running a full service Real Estate business, he co-founded Flashback Memorabilia, a brick and mortar antique store. From 1992-2003, as co-owner, Corky coordinated and developed online internet sales as well as the live auction portion of the business, marketing and selling to an international client base. In 2003, Corky established Heard Auction & Real Estate, LLC, a full service Real Estate & Auction company. Corky oversees sales, management, auctions, and business development.In 1987, Corky married his wife Missy, and they made their home in Clinton, Oklahoma. The couple have two daughters; Jessica, who is employed by Southwestern Oklahoma State University; and Harley, a senior at Clinton High School.
