April 13, 2016 – (KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – Each year, the professional auction industry recognizes the third Saturday in April as National Auction Day. Through a new initiative sponsored by the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), this week marks a week-long recognition of the auction industry and professional auctioneers across America. The recognition will culminate in a world class celebration on Saturday, April 16th.
As the largest integrated organization of real estate and auction professionals in the U.S., United Country Auction Services is dedicated to demonstrating our support of professional auctioneers across the country by promoting the message “auctions work” to the communities we serve. The National Auctioneers Association began defining the professional auctioneer when the NAA was established in 1949. Today, that auction mission still stands strong and is being recognized in markets all across America.
“We believe in the auction profession and all the benefits it provides buyers and sellers in terms of transparency, expediency and present market value”, said Shawn Terrel, executive vice president of United Country Auction Services. “As a leader in real estate and asset auctions, we believe there is a high standard that must be met when conducting auctions for a client and feel honored to help spread the message that ‘auctions work.’”
The NAA encourages auctioneers around the country to share their experiences and support for the auction industry by participating in a variety of events, such as sharing their stories on social media and delivering an official proclamation to area government leaders proclaiming the third Saturday of April as National Auctioneers Day.
“United Country Auction Services takes great pride in our ability to help advance the auction industry and we greatly value our partnership with the National Auctioneers Association. If you are looking to buy or sell property at auction, look for the NAA logo and your nearest United Country Auction Services auctioneer and you’ll be guaranteed a positive experience,” said Terrel.
