There are aspects of real estate sales that seem pretty simple. Keeping the transaction smooth is understanding the details that can be complicated and taking care of them early. Having experience in both Arizona and Sonora allows me to keep a better watch on a transaction.
I’ve had a real estate license in Arizona for over 15 years, 12 of those years have been as a licensed broker. I’ve also been in Real Estate in Mexico for the past 10 years and I’m a licensed agent in Mexico as well. This experience on both side of the border allows me to better understand the differences between the two areas and in turn it also allows me to explain those differences to clients. My job is to be of service to clients looking to buy or sell a home in this area. My experience allows me to be more thorough at my job.
Personally, the weather, the environment and the people have kept me here for the past 10 years. Puerto Penasco is a wonderful place to live and work. When I do retire it is also the place I will spend my retirement time. I have to say that long walks on the beach with my wife, a deep sense of community and GOLF really complete my experience of Mexico.

Deborah is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and earned her bachelor’s degree in French with a minor in Languages. She studied abroad at the University of Nice, France, for a year, perfecting her fluency. She went on to work in the wine industry in western Canada as a buyer and manager for a private wine store for five years. She has her private pilot’s license and played semi-professional volleyball in Finland.
Following her love for residential and resort real estate, Deborah earned her real estate license in January 2003 and worked three years for RE/MAX. For the past seven years, she has worked and managed Resort Realty, which became United Country – Resort Realty two-and-a-half years ago. Her team specializes in resort and vacation properties, primarily in Costa Rica’s premier resort, Los Suenos.
Roberto is a fully Licensed Realtor who works with all the United Country’s agents at the Coronado Office making sure we offer you the best possible service. Proud of his Panamanian roots, he was raised in Panama City until he left for the United States as a teenager, eventually graduating at Loyola University with a marketing and international business degree. His passion for travelling and learning from other cultures brought him to live in Venezuela, Spain, Sweden; and in the US, California, Hawaii, Georgia, Tennessee and Louisiana.
He moved to the island of Maui to fulfill a life-long dream to learn to surf and a few years later ended up writing several children s books about surfing, ocean safety and skateboarding. His passion for surfing kept bringing back to his home country of Panama where together with his wife they lead surf and yoga expeditions.
After noticing the boom in Panama’s real estate market, he invested with a group of previous clients and friends from his surf expeditions acquiring a right of possession, beach front hectare. In time, he was able to convert the beach front property into title land through a long and bureaucratic process. He is currently starting the process to develop it into a community for executives and professionals who enjoy surfing with their families.
His exposure to various markets has served him to adapt to the ever changing demands of the real estate market, its clients and Panama’s idiosyncrasies. He is able to understand how challenging and daunting it can be to move to a foreign country and is the reason why his sole intent is to make that transition as carefree as possible for his clients.

I was standing on the end of the dock overlooking a tropical sunrise with my new clients as we waited for the boat that would take us to see some homes for sale on neighboring islands. A golden radiance was spreading over the sea through the mist covering the distant islands. As we started out across the glassy waters, we spotted two dolphins rolling lazily on the surface. I could not help but marvel at my good fortune to be able to be in such a wonderful environment and to be able to do something I love so much. This is so much more than just a career choice for me. It is the realization of a personal dream to be able to live in a warm, friendly, beautiful place and help others achieve their life dreams.
As a real estate consultant in Bocas del Toro, Panama, it is my goal to help people discover the possibilities of a new home or business on a tropical island in the Caribbean. He has been a full-time, full-service residential REALTOR® since 2003. He earned both the Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource® and the EcoBroker® Certifications. He represents buyers, sellers, and investors. He is an experienced investor by buying financially and physically distressed properties, rehabbing, and leasing. From 2006 his investing interest is developing 150 acres of former rain forest in Honduras into a professionally managed, sustainable growth tree plantation. The project’s life long objective is to Re-forest the Rain Forest and provide ecology scholarships. The pinnacle of his career is operating a real estate franchise, United Country – Honduras Coastal Properties, in La Ceiba and Roatan, Honduras.
As a Business Consultant, he provided services including market research; business, financial, and statistical analysis; determining strategic and competitive advantages; writing Business and Marketing Plans; and devising Marketing Strategies. He has gained insight into the real estate, banking, restaurant, grocery, agriculture, education, health care, internet, and eco-green industries.
As an Educator, he has presented to more than 4,000 participants in 3,000 hours of classroom, workshop, and seminar formats in 20 courses, including Strategic Marketing, Global Marketing, and Marketing Research, at major Universities in the US and India.
