More than ever, real estate consumers are flooding the Internet to search for dream properties. In May, millions of these consumers searched the Internet, interested in lifestyle1 real estate. According to United Country Real Estate, the nation’s largest seller of non-urban real estate, visitor traffic at the firm’s national top-ranked lifestyle real estate website increased to record levels.
“At United Country, 2014 was a year of record breaking web traffic and the second highest sales year since 2007, and this upward trend has continued in 2015,” said David Dickey, chief technology officer for United Country Real Estate. “In January alone, our largest website, UnitedCountry.com received almost 1,600,000 visitors – breaking all-time records for our firm.”
In addition to the May total visitor record, UnitedCountry.com received a historic amount of unique visitors coming to the site. “These statistics – along with the more than 60,000 visitors we are seeing every day – are larger than any month our team has seen since UnitedCountry.com launched nearly 20 years ago,” Dickey said.
According to Mike Duffy, president of United Country Real Estate, these numbers only reflect traffic for the company’s primary national website, UnitedCountry.com, and do not take into consideration the company’s other 3,500-plus property specific, lifestyle, local office and niche market websites.
“United Country is seeing over 3,000,000 visitors per month when you include the performance of our other specialty property marketing sites,” Duffy said. “These numbers continue to grow and dwarf the performance of all other major national real estate brands on a per-listing, per-office and per-agent basis. This clearly reveals the ever-continuing interest in the type of lifestyle, vacation home, recreational, retirement, small city and town, land, ranch, farm and other rural real estate we transact in every day.”
