Bud is a native of Eastern North Carolina having grown up in Duplin County which is a traditional farming community about 50 miles inland from the coast. After a four-year tour in the US Navy, having served aboard the USS AMERICA (Aircraft Carrier), Bud then entered into the Real Estate business in the early ’80s. He started his Real Estate career on Topsail Island North Carolina in which he was involved in the sales of all new construction oceanfront condominiums and beach homes on the northern end of the Island at North Topsail Beach.

After several years of working with another Real Estate company, he decided to open his own Real Estate business in which he established in 1993. Not only does he handle coastal Real Estate property sales, he also manages over 200 coastal rental properties for those owners who choose to turn their property into income-producing coastal Real Estate. For these owners who only utilize their property a couple of times a year, this is the perfect way to earn a substantial income while still being able to use the property themselves.

Due to Bud’s many years of dedicated Coastal Real Estate experience, he has recently been awarded by the United Country Corporate Franchise the designation, “Director of Coastal Property.” This special designation allows other United Country affiliate offices from Coastal regions across the country to call on Bud for advice on specific ways to enhance their Coastal Real Estate marketing.
