The US-Hwy 79 Forty (#03019–03744) is a +/- 40-acre (per tax record) tract of timberland located in southwestern Ouachita County on the northeastern edge of Stephens, AR (North 33.446683°, West 93.048784°). The topography is generally flat with Gum Creek bottoms flowing through it. Access is excellent with US-Hwy 79 running bisecting the southeastern corner of the property. About 24 acres feature mixed pine-hardwood that were established around the year 2002. Another 14 acres exist as wetland habitat. According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the property is based upon Amy Association soils which give the tract an excellent weighted average site index of 90.0 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50) for the portion rated.
