The Cummings Springs Forty (#03019–03745) is a +/- 40-acre (per tax record) tract of timberland located in northeastern Nevada County about three miles northwest of Bluff City, AR (North 33.746985°, West 93.168535°). Most of the topography consists well-drained rolling hills with sloping down towards a creek drain in the northwestern area.  Access is available with a timber road running northerly for about three-quarters of a mile from county road #417. About 32 acres were planted with loblolly pine around the year 2009; the remaining 9 acres contain a hardwood-pine creek bottom.  According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the property is based upon Amy silt loam and an assortment of sandy loam soils which give the tract an excellent weighted average site index of 90.2 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50) for the portion rated.
