The South New London Oil Field Tract (#03019-03723) is a +/- 80-acre (per Tax Record) tract of timberland located in eastern Union County about five miles northeast of Strong, AR (North 33.143205°, West 92.282294°). The topography consists of well-drained gently rolling hills; a thin creek drain flows easterly through the property. Access is available with a gated improved oil field / logging road running southeasterly for about a half-mile to to the northeastern portion of the property. The timber consists of young planted pine that was established around the year 2013. An oil well site about a half-acre in size exists on the northeast corner of the land. According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the soils consist of an assortment of fine sandy loams which give the tract an excellent weighted average site index of 90.0 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50).
