Location:  This unique property is nestled in the heart of the Ouachita National Forest between the southern slopes of the Winding Stair Mountain Range and Lenox Ridge.  The property adjoins the 1.8 million acre Ouachita National Forest on 1 side, which provides good hunting opportunities for whitetail deer, eastern wild turkey, black bear, wild hog and other small game species as well as access to an impressive network of ATV, hiking and horseback riding trails that are operated and maintained by the US Forest Service.  The property is located Northeast of the small community or Muse, OK.  Nearby towns include Broken Bow, Hochatown, Talihina and Poteau, which is the county seat.  Broken Bow Lake, which offers some of the best fishing in Oklahoma, is only a short 45 minute drive away to the South.  Sardis Lake, Cedar Lake and Wister Lake are only a short drive away as well.  The Talimena Scenic Drive is just 2.5 miles North of the Cabin.

• Water:  Water wells are commonly drilled in this area and water can typically be found at a depth of less than 250 feet.  Additionally, this area of Oklahoma receives about 50 inches of rainfall per year on average so a water catchment system is very practical.  Billy Creek flows through the property.
• Septic:  The type of soils found in south eastern Oklahoma work great for installation of a conventional septic system.
• Internet:  Satellite based internet is typically used in remote areas such as this.

Access:  This property is accessed by turning East off of a county maintained US Forest Service Road (Lenox Ridge Road) and traveling roughly 1 mile down a road that crosses through US Forest Service land.    The new owners will need to obtain an access permit from the US Forest Service for use of the 1 mile section of road.  The current cost for the permit is roughly $125/year.

Land:  There are 13.05 acres (m/l) of land with a variation of terrain being mostly flat to gently sloping land on the south side of the Winding Stair Mountain Range.  There are several good locations that would be good for construction an off-grid cabin or home. The land is completely covered with a nice stand of mature timber that is native to south-eastern Oklahoma inducing a diverse variety of oaks, sweet gum, hickory, eastern red cedar as well as some nice saw log size native shortleaf pine.  The property adjoins the 1.8 million acre Ouachita National Forest on 1 side.  Wildlife are frequently seen in this area.
