Easy Venison Recipes
Here are some simple and affordable venison recipes that you can easily make from home.
Venison Stew
Ingredients:
1 chopped onion
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound of venison (in strips)
2 cloves of garlic
1 can of diced tomatoes
½ teaspoon of thyme
½ teaspoon of sage
¼ teaspoon of tarragon
¼ teaspoon of salt to taste
Directions:
Cook onion and garlic in a pan with the olive oil until the onions are soft. Add the venison and cook until browned. Stir in the tomatoes and seasoning and cover until the venison is tender (about 30 minutes).
Pan Fried Venison Steak
Ingredients:
1 pound of venison cut into slices
2 large eggs
¾ cup of milk
2 cups of crushed crackers (preferably Saltines)
5 tablespoons of canola oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Place saltines in a shallow bowl. In separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk and salt and pepper. Coat the venison in the saltines and then coat the venison in the egg mixture before coating again in the saltines.
Then, cook the venison in the oil in a large skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side (depending on how you like it cooked).
Crockpot Venison Korean BBQ
Ingredients:
2 pounds of venison, cut into bite sized pieces
1 bag of rice noodles
1 bag of spinach
1 packet of Korean BBQ slow cooker sauce
Water
Directions:
Rinse and pat dry the venison and add to the crock pot. Pour the slow cooker sauce onto the venison. Cook on low for 5-6 hours.
Prepare the rice noodles according to the package directions. Plate with the spinach and add the venison on top when it is done.
