The Calhoun RD 6 Forty (#03019–03936) is a ±40-acre tract of timberland located in Calhoun County about ten miles west of Hampton, AR and 2.5 miles southeast of the Locust Bayou community (North 33.532355°, West 92.641026°).  The property features an assortment of both merchantable hardwood and natural pine.  Access to the property is excellent with Calhoun RD #6, a paved county road, bisecting the land. Some utilities can be found along this county road allowing for camp/home site potential within the Hampton School District. An old abandoned homesite once stood along eastern portion of the property on the north side of the county road. An intermittent creek known as “Mayner Branch” flows southerly through the property. The topography is generally flat to gently rolling.  According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the property is based upon Smithton fine sandy loam which gives the tract an excellent weighted average site index of 90 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50).
