The Ford Lane Tract (#03019–03419) is a ±204.72 acre tract of timberland located in southern Union County, Arkansas, about 12 miles southeast of El Dorado, AR (North 33.049687°, West 92.570669°). The tract was mostly harvested during the summer of 2017 and has been allowed to regenerate naturally. Some bottomland hardwood and tupelo wetland remain on the property giving it a diverse wildlife habitat. The topography is generally flat with Bayou de Loutre running through the middle of the property. According the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the property is predominately based upon Amy and Guyton silt loams which give the property an outstanding weighted average site index rating for Loblolly Pine of 90 feet (base age 50). Access is available via a gated woodsroad running east for about a half-mile from the end of “Ford Lane”, a gravel residential road which runs east from “Iron Mountain Road aka AR Hwy #7”.
