The town of Lowell is about 45 minutes from the city of Bangor Maine and Bangor International Airport.  The closest service town is Lincoln, which is about 20 minutes away.  In Lincoln, you will find a hospital, Wal-Mart, Restaurants, grocery stores, Dunkin Donuts and most other services.
