Description
Montana Big Game Hunting Cabin Next to Public Land
This is a very unique property that is set up perfectly to be your base camp for phenomeal Montana hunting. The main structure is a 240 square foot, single room log cabin. Heat comes from a propane wall heater or the wood burning stove. This cabin is not plumbed or wired and is totally off grid, however there are wire chases built in if you decided to upgrade the building. When you are done with the days deer or elk hunt, sit on the front porch and enjoy the views of the Pintler Mountains.
The second structure is a 12×16 barn style manufactured building that the owner uses as his kitchen. There is a propane/electric dual fuel refrigerator, and counter tops to prep food on. The sink basin is not plumbed yet, nor is the shower stall. There is no well on the property at this time, but it could be accomplished fairly easily. The current owner hauls water in. This structure has some wiring and is set up to run off a generator, or easily modified to run off solar. Electric is to the neighboring lot, so a new owner could easily convert it to an on-grid property.
There is an outhouse with a composting toilet and an additional barn-style shed that is currently being used as a work shop.
While this property sits on 5 acres, it sits next to thousands upon thousands of acres of public lands. Elk, deer, moose, mountain lions, and wolves have all been seen on the property or in the area. Elk calving grounds sit on the public lands just to the north of the property.
