Description
The Ponderosa Ranch is located at the end of a maintained county road is a rustic log cabin and replica “Old West” town sitting on 320 acres approximately 15 miles north of the small town of Beach, North Dakota. The log cabin home was constructed in 1970 and has three bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a large one-room bunkhouse attached to the home by a breezeway. The home has a covered porch spanning the length of the home so you can sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, scenic views, and abundant wildlife.
Nestled in the hillside is the replication of an old west main street that includes a livery stable, jail, saloon, hotel, corrals, and the Boot Hill cemetery is perched at the top of the hill. All the buildings are in fair to good condition except the hotel. With a little love and elbow grease, you can have your town back up and running.
The 320 acres is fenced and cross-fenced, has corrals, a round pen, and water for livestock. The property consists of rolling hills, tree-filled draws and has Beaver Creek running through the Northwest corner of the half-section. The creek runs year-round and provides a little swimming hole to take a dip and drop in your fishing pole to pull out a trout or catfish for dinner.
This sportsman's paradise would make an ideal hunting camp or a destination base camp for an outfitter business. The property sits in the E3 Elk hunting unit, B3 Big Horn Sheep unit, 1A Antelop unit, 4B Deer unit, and sits just south of the M11 Moose unit. Golden Valley county is also home to a variety of waterfowl and upland game birds. This property is also located less than a mile from the Montana border and all of the funding opportunities it also offers.
