The Bethel Cemetery Tract (#03019-03658) is a +/- 226-acre tract of timberland located in northeastern Ouachita County about three miles northeast of Bearden, AR (North 33.757554°, West 92.590974°).  The site consists of merchantable natural pine along the well-drained upland hills as well as hardwood creek bottoms creating excellent wildlife habitat edge.  “Steamboat Creek”, an intermittent stream, runs along the southern portion of the property.  Access is excellent with Ouachita RD #85 running along the western edge of the property for nearly a mile.  Some utilities exist along this paved county road to allow for camp/home site potential within the Bearden School District. Bethel Cemetery covers about 3 acres in the northwestern portion of the property near the intersection of Ouachita RD #85 and Ouachita RD #89.  A pipeline right-of-way roughly 25 feet in width and three-quarters of a mile in length bisects the property. According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the soils consist of an assortment of sandy loams and silt loams, which give the tract a weighted average site index of 84.1 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50).
