FARM NAME: Progress Farm
DESCRIPTION: This irrigated farm is located in southern Parmer County north of Progress. This farm is level to gently sloping. A portion of the irrigated farm has been planted to an improved perennial grass that is a 4 way mix that would work great for an intensive grazing operation or hay production while providing excellent cover for small game. This farm has good accessibility with a maintained county road on its south border. This farm is equipped with a 7-tower Valley Irrigation system. WILDLIFE, HUNTING AND RECREATION: Dove, quail, pheasant, and occasional coyote are seen in this area with occasional mule deer in area. In the fall and winter there is a good possibility for sandhill crane, and Canadian geese.
SOIL: Soils on Farm are primarily Arvana and Amarillo Fine Sandy Loam, but also has some Tulia loam and Bippus and Sprone clay loams in SW corner.
