Description
The Smead 80 (#03019–03738) is a +/- 80-acre (per tax assessor record) tract of timberland located about ten miles southeast of Bearden, AR in Ouachita County (North 33.787178°, West 92.786249°). The topography is generally flat to gently rolling. Access is available with County Road #419 running along the southern edge of the property. About 44 acres in the northern portion of the tract were planted in 2017 without being bedded; additionally, 37 acres in the southern portion were bedded and planted in 2018. According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the soils consist mostly of Amy Silt Loam, which gives the tract an excellent weighted average site index of 90 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50).
