Description
Seventy
acres of rolling land near the Buffalo National River Wilderness in north
central Arkansas has three portable sheds set up as dwellings. There is a total
of 944 sq feet of living space set up with two 5000-watt solar systems for off
grid living. Heat is supplied by an outdoor wood furnace and a fireplace.
Access to property is from a good county-maintained gravel road and electricity
is at the road if you should choose to hook up to the grid. Water is supplied
to dwellings by rain collection or hauling water.
The
land has about 33 acres of established pasture with cross fencing to make 6
pasture areas. The remainder of the land is mostly hardwood timber with some
pine and cedar. There are also native fruit trees like persimmon and wild plum
and a variety of native nut trees. The land is a haven for wildlife and great
hunting is available for whitetail deer, wild turkey and bear. There are two
springs plus a pond and a small stream. The views from the homesites are
astounding!
The
lower Buffalo Wilderness is within walking distance and opens the door to over
30,000 acres of wild public land for exploring, hiking, hunting. Both the
Buffalo National River and the White River are nearby for boating and fishing.
Get the feeling of remoteness but still be within 20 minutes of a Walmart
supercenter. Put all of this together with low taxes and fully unrestricted
land and you have a winning combination for a self-sustaining lifestyle for
multiple family members or a small community of like-minded people.
